Andrea Joyce MSc Lic Ac mAAC mBANT rCNHC

I’m a fully qualified and registered acupuncturist, nutritional therapy practitioner and nutritionist based in Warwick. Having experienced the positive benefits of acupuncture and nutritional therapy for chronic pain, menopausal symptoms, digestive issues, food sensitivities and histamine intolerance, I retrained so I can support others in improving their health and wellbeing. I’m also experienced in providing nutrition support to vegetarians, vegans and individuals following plant-based diets.

Qualifications

  • Professional Licentiate in Acupuncture (Lic Ac), three-year degree level included all aspects of Chinese Medical and Acupuncture theory, Western medical theory and a year working in supervised clinic.
  • MSc in Nutritional Therapy covering nutrition and lifestyle medicine
  • ION (Institute of Optimum Nutrition) – Cancer: nutritional support before, during and after treatment and beyond (NTEC accredited training and assessment)
  • Zest4life Health & Wellness Coaching Certificate
  • Accredited reflux practitioner, advanced training in managing reflux, both with and without prescribed medication.

I have completed additional post-qualification required by BANT to support clients with cancer and undertake mandatory ongoing training in this specialised area. Acupuncture and/or nutritional therapy are intended to support you in improving your overall health and wellbeing before, during and after treatment prescribed by your consultant and not as a treatment or a remedy for the cancer itself. Prior to embarking on acupuncture and/or nutritional therapy I would recommend you discuss this with the clinician responsible for your care and treatment. Integrative oncology combines conventional treatment with nutritional, lifestyle and complementary medicine with the aim of improving the lives of people affected by cancer.
